When should my home be inspected?

Buyers have ten business days in which to schedule an inspection after reaching a preliminary deal on a home. Sellers can have their home inspected at any time while putting their home on the market. Homeowners can have their home inspected at any time.

What will the inspection cover?

What will the report look like?

How long will the inspection take?

The average inspection takes 2.5 hours. Some factors, such as the age and condition of the house, the type of foundation (slab, crawlspace), and size of the house, can lengthen or shorten the inspection time.

How much will the inspection cost?

Casa Buena's fees are competitively priced, and for the most part cost less than a monthly mortgage payment. Because there are several factors that determine the price of the inspection (square footage, age of home, foundation type), it is recommended that you contact us to obtain pricing information about your home.

How are customers involved in the inspection?

At the end of the inspection, the inspector will review with the customer a summary of the house’s biggest issues. This summary is a brief overview of the largest problems, and not the complete inspection report. While the summary serves to give the customer a general idea of the condition of the house, they will need to read the entire report, which relates every issue discovered with the house.

What happens after the inspection, and when do I receive my report?

After the inspection, the customer will be e-mailed with links to set up an account with Casa Buena Inspections, sign the Inspection Agreement, and Pay Your Bill. After signing the agreement and paying your bill from the comfort of your home computer (or by another means, if that has been arranged), you will be sent a link to the full inspection, which you can read at your convenience. The report will be sent before 9 a.m. the day following the inspection, and there is no extra charge to receive the report. Click here to view a sample report.

What kind of insurance does Casa Buena carry?

Does Casa Buena solely do Inspections?

Yes. Casa Buena does not do repairs. You can rest assured that if we find a problem, it is because there is a problem, and not because we own a business that can fix it.

What kind of continuing education do Casa Buena inspectors receive?

By Arkansas law, 14 hours of continuing education per year are required for home inspectors. As members of ASHI, our inspectors participate in 20 hours of continuing education per year. Casa Buena inspectors participate in conferences on the latest home problems, different methods of testing, and on ways to better perform complete and reliable inspections.
